Mortgage sales and number of mortgages closed rise in the second quarter of 2022 thanks to refinancing.
Utrecht, August 25, 2022 - In the second quarter of 2022, mortgage sales rise to €45.6 billion. This is a sharp increase of 21.6% compared to the same quarter in 2021. The total number of mortgages issued went up by 10.4% to 136 thousand compared to Q2 2021. The average mortgage loan size grew by 9.0% compared to last year, but decreased slightly with -1.2% compared to last quarter.
